Basque, il a d’abord étudié les caractères chinois à Bordeaux puis l’écriture photographique en couleur dans les ateliers de John Batho.
En 1988, il rejoint le collectif de photographes le bar Floréal.photographie qu’il quitte en octobre 2011.
Il est un des lauréats du prix Paysages européens de la Fondation EDF en 1992.
Il participe, au sein du collectif, à deux expositions dans le cadre du Mois de la Photo à Paris : “Paris, centre-ville ?” à la Mairie du IVe arrondissement en 2006 et “Retour en Lorraine” à la Maison des Métallos en 2008.
Il expose en 2008 aux côtés de Michel Chassat et Jean Rault dans le cadre de l’exposition “Entrevoir” à la Fondation Caisse d’Épargne pour l’art contemporain à Toulouse.
En 2009, il présente “En villes”, paysages et portraits en Seine-Saint-Denis, au Forum du Blanc-Mesnil, scène conventionnée, sous la forme d’une exposition et d’un livre, En villes, texte de François Bon, conception graphique Isabelle Jégo, Paris, Trans Photographic Press, 2009.
En 2011, “Au bord de l’eau, canaux parisiens”, paysages et passages dans le paysage, est exposé au Parc de la Villette et à la Maison du parc de la Bergère à Bobigny, et installé en très grands formats dans l’espace public et sur la façade du Centre National de la Danse le long du canal de l’Ourcq à Pantin. Direction artistique : Isabelle Jégo.
“En île, Ouessant” est un projet, initié en 2008, qui s’est concrétisé en juillet 2011 par une résidence artistique au Sémaphore de Ouessant. Ce séjour a permis, sous la direction artistique d’Isabelle Jégo, graphiste, la réalisation d’un site web (Kevin Donnot et Elise Gay) et d’une exposition dans l’espace public.

From the Basque Country, he first studied chinese characters in Bordeaux and then photographic expression in colour at the John Batho Studios. He was a member of le bar Floréal collective of photographers from 1998 to 2011.
In 1992 he was one of the laureats for the European landscapes prize, awarded by the EDF foundation.
His work has been shown twice during the photographic festival “Mois de la Photo à Paris”: at the town hall in the 4th quarter of Paris for the ‘”Paris, centre-ville?” exhibition in 2006 and for “Retour en Lorraine” at the Maison des Métallos in 2008.
He exhibited with Michel Chassat and Jean Rault at the “‘Entrevoir” show, sponsored by the Caisse d’Epargne foundation for contemporary art in Toulouse in 2008.
In 2009, he presented “En villes”, cityscapes and portraits in Seine-Saint-Denis, at the Forum de Blanc-Mesnil, in the form of an exhibition and a book entitled "En villes”, text by Francois Bon and graphic art work by Isabelle Jégo, published by Paris Trans Photographic Press, 2009.
In 2011, “Au bord de l'eau, canaux parisiens”, landscapes and passageways through the landscape, is shown at the Parc de la Villette and at the Maison du Parc Bergère in Bobigny and is posted in grand format on the façades of buildings such as the Centre National de la Dance and along the banks of the Ourcq canal in Pantin, under the artistic direction of Isabelle Jégo.
The “En ile, Ouessant" project started in 2008 and was realized in July 2011 with an artistic residence at the “Sémaphore” centre in Ouessant. Under the artistic direction of Isabelle Jégo, a website was designed (Kevin Donnot and Elise Gay) and an outdoor exhibition was accomplished.
